World is Mean Right Now is the fifth episode in the fifth season in the FX drama Better Things which was aired on March 21, 2022.
Synopsis[]
Sam makes borscht after Phil invited her family to have dinner with her. Pictures of Sam's wedding day in Phil's family photo album makes Sam back terrible memories. Sam and her family leave the house after Frankie insulted her and Duke lectures them for their misbehavior. Sam goes to her doctor after struggling while exercising, but she realizes that she's still healthy. Sam receives a Feng shui consultation from one of her friends, but refuses to make any changes he suggested. Phil tags along with Sam on her work trip to San Francisco, but after Phil putted a lot of pressure on Sam, they reconciled, and Phil changed her mind about going to San Francisco. While exercising outside on stairs, Sam conserves with a crying man and they eventually laugh together.
